Be You!

I am an individual. I am my own person. I choose not to look like everyone else for a reason. It's good to be different. To everyone out there please dress the way YOU choose to dress. Wear your hair the way YOU choose to wear your hair. Be unique. Be different. Be you. Live your life, be yourself, and above all don't let anyone make you feel like you're not good enough. YOU'RE PERFECT!

Been Away Too Long.....................................But I'm Back Now!

Can't believe I've been gone this long from my blog. Sometimes you can get so caught up with different things going on in life that you neglect some things and pay more attention to others. Unfortunately lately that's what I've been doing. But I've pledged that it will stop today. I'm going to give everything equal time and put my best effort into everything that I touch.

I went home for the Thanksgiving holiday and I saw family and friends.......some doing good and some doing not so good. Some have health issues and that really touched me. It just made me think about how life is so short and how we shouldn't take life for granted. Tomorrow is not promised to us so we should cherish every moment that we have on this earth.

I pledge to see my family and friends more often, call or text them at least once a day, and let them know that I love them every chance I get. I am so grateful to have family that loves me and that I am close to including my parents, my sister, my niece and nephew, and so many others.

If you are reading this post right now and you have family or friends that you haven't talked to in a while please give them a call and check up on them and let them know that you love them.
Until next time..........

Free & Easy..Brain Exercises to Keep your Brain in Shape!

Ever feel like your brain just isn't working? Do you ever have problems with remembering things? If you have I've found some helpful information that just might help. I've already started putting some of these things in my daily routine. You should too! Keep reading to find out more!

"Scientists have found that the human brain has an amazing ability to adapt and change--an ability called neuroplasticity. With the right stimulation, your brain can form new neural pathways, helping increase your cognitive capabilities, improve your ability to learn new information, and give your memory a boost.

Mental brain puzzles performed on a daily basis help strengthen your brain by activating new neural pathways. These brain exercises help improve brain capacity in younger people and restore mental faculties that are declining in older people."

1. Use it or lose it with a cognitive workout: Memorize a poem, play chess, enjoy a challenging crossword puzzle, learn phone numbers by heart, add numbers without a calculator, learn the words to a new song, or memorize a shopping list--as long as it’s something new to you. Keep challenging yourself with new tasks.
2. Use your non-dominant hand: If you’re right-handed, use your left hand to eat, comb your hair, brush your teeth, write your name, or try putting your mouse pad on the other side of the keyboard. This practice of non-dominant hand use stimulates communication between the two hemispheres of the brain, helping to improve mental capacity as well as physical balance. Another idea: tai chi and yoga are physical activities that coach people to use the right and left side of the body equally.

Great Inexpensive Way to Take Care of your teeth

It's new! It's improved! It's....It's...Baking Soda! I've recently discovered that baking soda is a great way to clean your teeth and it is super affordable. This is some info I found about it on wisegeek.com.

"Baking soda is a natural ingredient that has the ability to clean and whiten teeth and is frequently used by people who wish to save money and have healthy teeth at the same time. Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, is a natural mineral that easily dissolves in water. This substance exists in many living things and helps to control pH balance.
It is a natural cleanser and neutralizes any substance that causes stains or odors. Throughout the years, it has been used by people to bake, manufacture a variety of products, and clean the home. Since this substance is natural, it will not harm humans, animals, or their environment. For these reasons, many people opt to use baking soda toothpaste as their primary method of caring for teeth.
Baking soda toothpaste neutralizes acids inside the mouth and helps to freshen breath. This particular type of toothpaste whitens teeth as well, since baking soda is known for its ability to give teeth a cleaner, stain-free appearance."
Remember this information the next time you go into the store to buy toothpaste and your teeth will thank you.

Been so Busy..........

I've been so busy with trying to start up my gift basket business that I haven't had time to keep up with this blog the way I would like to. I actually bought all items needed to begin to sell my baskets. I plan on having a large selection of baskets to choose from that anyone can afford and for any occasion.

What else has been going on? Just got a new phone-the HTC HD7. Still working on figuring out all the functions of it. Seems to be pretty cool though.

I've been slacking on my Spanish lessons though. Def have to get back to that. I guess that's all for now. Oh yeah, if you click on the first site on the right side of this page you will be able to see my gift baskets.
Talk later.

1st post the day before the 1st of the month

This is my first post on my first ever blog. I am super excited. Just wanted to have a place to write about how I'm feeling, what's going on in my daily life, and anything and everything else. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

Lately I've just been getting ready to start my new gift basket business and find ways to use my time creatively and learn new things. I've just decided to start learning Spanish again. I say again because i took classes in middle school and high school but I didn't really put it to use the way I should have. So now I'm ready to learn and put it to good use. I just might end up in Spain one day!
